AAF Flanders Pre-Pleat Filters

The Pre-Pleat family is AAF Flanders' commercial workhorse pleated filter line — the most-specified pleated filter in commercial HVAC, built around an extruded plastic Permagrid radial pleat support that holds shape under high airflow and humidity. From the LPD low-pressure-drop standard through the M11 and M13 high-efficiency versions, every Pre-Pleat shares the same construction: laminated cotton/synthetic media bonded to a beverage-board frame with a moisture-resistant coating.

The Pre-Pleat Product Line

• PREpleat LPD MERV 10 — low pressure drop, MERV 10. The most common AAF commercial filter for offices, schools, retail.
• PREpleat LPD HC MERV 10 — high capacity 4″ depth for extended service intervals.
• PREpleat M11 — MERV 11 efficiency for tighter IAQ requirements.
• PREpleat M13 — MERV 13 for hospital, lab, and IAQ-sensitive applications.
• PrePleat HV (High Velocity) — MERV 8 designed for elevated face velocities up to 625 FPM.
• PrePleat HT (High Temperature) — MERV 8 rated to 200°F for kitchens, drying ovens, hot air handlers.
• PREpleat Activated Carbon — MERV 8 with activated carbon for odor control.
• PrePleat Class 1 UL Fire-Rated — UL 900 Class 1 for code-required applications.

Why Pre-Pleat Dominates Commercial Specifications

• Permagrid backing — extruded plastic radial pleat support keeps pleat geometry stable under load
• Moisture-resistant frame — beverage board with bonded media, won't sag or collapse in humid duct work
• UL 900 Classified — code-compliant for commercial buildings
• Tested per ASHRAE 52.2 — every MERV rating verified to industry standard
• 1″, 2″, and 4″ depths — drop-in replacement for nearly any commercial rack
