Custom Metal Washable Filters

Metal frames are fabricated from scratch to your specific dimensions. Production runs are scheduled in batches to keep per-unit cost reasonable — typical turnaround is around 1 month from order to ship. If you need a faster option, shop standard-size washable filters that ship in 1–4 business days, or contact us about expedited options.

PLANNING AHEAD

What affects lead time

Not every 2–10 day product takes 10 days. These factors push orders toward the fast end or the slow end of the window.

Stock vs. Production
In-stock filters leave the warehouse same or next business day. Production items enter a build queue — first in, first out.
Size Complexity
Standard nominal sizes run fastest. Odd sizes — especially fractional dimensions outside normal batches — add 1–3 days to the production queue.
MERV & Media Type
Higher MERV and specialty media (carbon, antimicrobial, HEPA) run on different production lines than standard pleated — sometimes faster, sometimes slower.
Season & Demand
Spring HVAC-changeover and wildfire season push volume through production. During peak periods, 2–10 day windows lean toward the 10-day side.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Shipping & lead time FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we get most often about timing.

When does the lead-time clock start?

Lead times start the business day after your order is placed and payment clears. Orders placed on weekends or holidays start counting from the next business day. For made-to-specification orders, the clock starts when production receives the order — typically same business day.

Does 2–10 business days include shipping?

That window is production-to-carrier time — how long until the filter leaves our facility. Transit time from the facility to your door is on top of that, and depends on carrier and destination. Most domestic U.S. ground shipments arrive within 2–5 additional business days.

Can I mix in-stock and made-to-spec filters in one order?

Yes. Mixed orders ship as items become available — you’ll typically receive stock items first, then production items when they’re complete. If you need everything to arrive together, let us know and we’ll coordinate the ship date.

Can I expedite a made-to-specification order?

Sometimes. Expedited production depends on the specific product line, current manufacturer capacity, and lead time pressure. If you have a hard deadline, contact us before ordering — we’ll check the schedule and confirm a ship-by date in writing before you place the order.

How do I track my order?

Log into your account to see live status, tracking numbers, and estimated delivery. If you checked out as a guest, your order confirmation email contains a tracking link that updates automatically. Still not finding it? Text us at 425-515-2727 with your order number and we’ll look it up.

Do lead times change seasonally?

Yes. Spring HVAC-service season and wildfire season push production volume higher, and lead times skew toward the 10-day end of the window. Winter and late summer are typically the fastest. We update this page when longer-than-normal delays hit a specific product line.

I need commercial volume. Do lead times change?

Commercial volumes often run on a different production queue. Large orders may take slightly longer because of batch sizing, or significantly faster if we can pull from dedicated stock. Send your size list through our quote form and we’ll come back with firm lead times, pricing, and any expedite options.

What if my order is running late?

If it’s been longer than the listed window, reach out. Text us with your order number at 425-515-2727, call 866-469-8556 during business hours, or use our contact form. We’ll check the production floor and get you a real update — same business day.
