Who qualifies for the Filter Partners program?

HVAC contractors, home improvement creators, property managers, facility consultants, newsletter writers, and anyone with a real audience or client base that overlaps with HVAC filters and indoor air quality. We care about audience fit and credibility, not raw follower counts — a contractor with 200 engaged clients beats an influencer with 20,000 disinterested followers every time.

How long does the application review take?

Most applications are reviewed within 2–5 business days. Commercial and facility-influence applications may take slightly longer because we tailor the program structure up front. If you haven’t heard back after a week, reach out and we’ll check on it.

What does RTF provide after approval?

Access to the Shopify Collabs creator portal, where you’ll find your tracked referral link, option to generate a custom discount code for your audience, real-time reporting on clicks and conversions, and the program terms specific to your partnership type. For commercial partners, we also loop in a dedicated rep.

How do payouts work?

Payouts are processed through Shopify Collabs on a regular schedule. You’ll see your pending and paid balances in the creator portal in real time. Exact commission rates, cookie windows, and payout timing are shared after approval based on the partnership type you’re approved for.

Can I combine a discount code with an affiliate link?

Usually yes — most partners use both. Your discount code gives your audience a reason to click; your affiliate link ensures you get credit when they convert. Specifics are outlined in your partnership terms after approval.

I’m an HVAC contractor — can I recommend RTF to service clients?

Yes — that’s one of our favorite use cases. Contractors hand a custom discount code to clients after service calls, which saves the client money and generates tracked attribution for the contractor. For contractors who source in bulk for commercial clients, we also route through Commercial Services for net terms and volume pricing.

Are there content guidelines I have to follow?

We ask partners to disclose the relationship per FTC guidelines (standard across every affiliate program), avoid making unsupported claims about filtration performance (stick to MERV ratings and manufacturer specs), and not use our brand assets in misleading ways. Beyond that, be real with your audience — that’s the only reason this program works.
