Three steps to a remake

File the Filter Fit claim before ordering a replacement. Once we approve, we’ll get the remake into production — usually same business day.

Re-measure & Document

Pull the filter out, measure properly (see how to measure), and take a photo showing the filter in the system to document the fit issue.

We Remake & Ship

Don’t trust the size printed on your old filter. Measure your existing filter down to 1/8″ for both length and width — use those numbers.

Bulk orders and freight shipments sit outside the Filter Fit Guarantee because they need a different approach: pre-order verification, site-specific sizing consultation, and dedicated rep support. Straight answers to the most common questions about remake coverage.

What’s the difference between the Filter Fit Guarantee and the 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee?

Two separate programs. Filter Fit covers your measurement mistakes — you cover a $30 replacement shipping fee and we remake the filter. 90-Day Satisfaction covers our mistakes (defects, wrong specs) or dissatisfaction — if it’s our error, we pay everything; if you just want a different MERV or style, we remake at the original price plus 10% off.

How long do I have to file a Filter Fit claim?

Within 30 days of the delivery date of the original product. After 30 days, measurement-error remakes aren’t covered under this guarantee. The 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee has its own separate 90-day window.

Why is there a $30 replacement shipping fee?

The $30 covers the cost of shipping the remake to you. The remake itself — materials, labor, production — is free under the guarantee when you measured wrong. The only other time you’d see an additional charge is if the corrected size costs more than the original product (the price difference is billed; the remake cost is still free).

How many times can I use the Filter Fit Guarantee?

Up to 1 case per order and 2 cases total per household/customer lifetime — whether for the same or different products. After that, additional mis-measure remakes are billed at the original product price plus 10% off. This limit protects the program from being treated as a measurement-gambling policy.

Can I get the remake in a different size or MERV rating?

The remake under the Filter Fit Guarantee is for the same product (same style, same MERV rating) in your corrected dimensions. If you want to change MERV, change style, or change product entirely, that’s handled under the 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee — remake same size at original price plus 10% off.

Why do you need a photo?

A photo of the filter in your HVAC system confirms the fit issue and helps us verify the remake dimensions before we push into production. It speeds up approval and cuts down on back-and-forth. One clear photo showing the gap, the overlap, or the misfit is usually all we need.

Does the guarantee cover HEPA, special-order, or large commercial filters?

No. The Filter Fit Guarantee excludes high-purity HEPA filters, special-order items, freight/LTL-shipped orders, filters larger than 30″ in length or width (“Double Filters” with “D” in the SKU), and bulk orders of 2+ of the same product. These are configured or sourced specifically for your application and require pre-order sizing consultation — contact our team or request a quote so we can lock in dimensions before production starts.

What if the remake I ordered also doesn’t fit?

If the second filter doesn’t fit either, reach out — we’ll help troubleshoot the measurement and either apply the 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (if the issue is on our side) or do a third remake at the original price plus 10% off. When sizing is persistently tricky, call 866-469-8556 and we’ll walk through the measurement with you.
