AAF Flanders PREpleat M13 MERV 13

The PREpleat M13 is AAF Flanders' MERV 13 commercial pleated filter — designed for healthcare, government, and IAQ-critical commercial applications where MERV 8 isn't enough but a HEPA system isn't justified. Built on the same Permagrid radial pleat support as the MERV 8 LPD line, the M13 captures virus carriers, fine smoke, and bacteria-sized particulate at 50%+ efficiency at 0.3 microns.

Why MERV 13 Now

Post-COVID, MERV 13 became the CDC-recommended baseline for occupied commercial buildings. ASHRAE Standard 241-2023 and many state and local building codes now reference MERV 13 as the minimum efficiency for offices, schools, healthcare, and government facilities. Specifying the Right M13

• 1″ depth — standard residential and light-commercial racks

Pressure drop on M13 is higher than M8 by design (more efficient = more resistance).
