Product details
The Maxi-Grid 200 is the economical entry point in Koch’s Maxi-Grid panel line — a 3-ply panel filter tuned for cost-sensitive applications where MERV 7 efficiency is sufficient. Initial pressure drop is 0.36″ w.g. at 400 FPM with a dust holding capacity of 243 grams at 1.5″ w.g., with downstream tackifier to lock in captured particles. The right pick for general-purpose air handling, equipment protection, and as a prefilter ahead of higher-efficiency final stages.
Common Maxi-Grid construction
All Maxi-Grid Standard Panels share a common construction philosophy: internally-supported synthetic-media panel filters with a self-sealing frame design and steel internal support wire. The synthetic media handles high-moisture applications well, the progressively-dense media construction maximizes dust holding capacity, and the self-sealing design prevents air bypass at the frame edges. All four sub-lines (MG200, MG300, MG400, MG550) are sized to the same nominal dimensions and package 24 panels per case for efficient shipping and storage.
When Maxi-Grid MG200 is specified
- Equipment protection — protect blowers, coils, and downstream filters from coarse particles at lowest cost
- Prefilter applications — ahead of MERV 11+ final filters in multi-stage systems, extending the higher-cost final filter’s life
- Cost-sensitive commercial HVAC — office buildings, retail, light industrial where MERV 7 meets the need
- Paint spray booth makeup air — coarse particle removal upstream of the booth at the right price point

What MERV 7 captures
Captures larger airborne dust, lint, pollen fragments, and most household and construction-grade dust. A step above basic equipment-protection filters; suitable as a prefilter or for general air handling where high efficiency is not required.
Choosing across the Maxi-Grid line
Koch offers four Maxi-Grid Standard Panel sub-lines, each tuned for a different application:
- MG200 (MERV 7): Most economical, 3-ply, downstream tackifier. Equipment protection and prefilter applications.
- MG300 (MERV 8): All-purpose workhorse, 3-ply, lowest pressure drop in the line, encapsulated tackifier. Standard commercial HVAC.
- MG400 (MERV 11): Higher efficiency, 4-ply, higher pressure drop. Light-industrial and high-IAQ commercial.
- MG550 (MERV 8): Antimicrobial-treated 3-ply with heavy-duty wire support. Healthcare, food processing, high-moisture sites.
Sizing and ordering notes
- Sizes listed are nominal. Actual panel dimensions are slightly under nominal — standard for the industry. (Example: 10x20 nominal = 9-1/2 x 19-1/2 actual.)
- Sold by the case. Each variant ships in a case of 24 panels — Koch’s space-saving packaging is roughly half the cube of standard 12-per-carton cardboard panels.
- Need link panels? The Maxi-Grid line is also available as linked continuous panels for side-access housings, eliminating bypass between filters. Contact us to spec link panels for your housing.

Commercial & facilities
Buying filters for a building?
Volume pricing on any size or MERV, plus recurring delivery schedules. We handle facilities and commercial orders daily and can usually match or beat distributor pricing.
A filtration company, not a warehouse reseller
Family-founded in 2006, built on the back of 50 years of HVAC filtration experience. Two decades selling filters online — and we only stock what we'd put our own name behind.
Trusted manufacturers only
Every filter we sell comes from a manufacturer we've vetted — AAF Flanders, Koch, NaturalAire, PrimeShield, and a short list of others.
No marketplace-style third-party sellers swapping inventory. No overseas knockoffs relabeled with a domestic-sounding name.
Two decades online
RememberTheFilter.com has been selling HVAC filters online since 2006 — family-founded, founder-operated, and still run by the people who started it.
Schools, clinics, property managers, and homeowners have been ordering from us for years — some of them since before Amazon even sold filters.
Nationwide shipping network
Our distribution network ships from multiple U.S. locations — so most orders arrive faster than coast-to-coast routing would suggest.
Customer service is based in Lake Stevens, Washington — U.S.-based, reachable by phone, text, or email.
