The Koch BioMAX V2400-P is the molded ABS-plastic-frame variant of the BioMAX V2400 mini-pleat HEPA filter. It delivers the same 99.97% efficiency on 0.3-micron particles as the aluminum V2400 but in a lighter, corrosion-resistant plastic housing — engineered for pharmaceutical compounding, hospital isolation, biotech laboratories, and cleanroom applications where ABS plastic is preferred over metal frames for chemical compatibility, cleaning protocol, or weight considerations. Filters are tested for overall efficiency at the factory.
Why molded ABS plastic?
An ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic frame offers several advantages over aluminum in critical-environment HVAC applications: it does not corrode in environments with humidity, cleaning chemistries, or process gas exposure; it is significantly lighter than aluminum (easier and safer for change-out in overhead housings); it has no metal-to-metal contact concerns at gasket interfaces; and it is fully recyclable at end of service life.
Mini-pleat 5V-bank construction
The V2400-P uses the same mini-pleat bead-separator pack design as the aluminum V2400, assembled in a V-bank configuration within the molded ABS plastic frame. The mini-pleat geometry maximizes media area in a compact 11-1/2" depth, delivering high dust-holding capacity, long service life, and low pressure drop relative to conventional HEPA filter designs.
Water-repellent microfiberglass media
The pack is constructed of water-repellent ultra-fine fiberglass media. Pleat spacing is maintained by an adhesive bead with no separator strips. The water-repellent treatment provides resistance to incidental humidity exposure during installation and operation.
Fully potted polyurethane sealant
A solid polyurethane sealant fully encapsulates the pack-to-frame interface, eliminating bypass leakage pathways. The polyurethane is non off-gassing, suitable for pharmaceutical compounding, isolation, and laboratory environments where VOC emission from filter components is a validation concern.
High-velocity capability
The V2400-P can be installed in HVAC systems with face velocities up to 650 FPM. Initial resistance at 600 FPM is 1.24" w.g. (per Koch performance data), providing flexibility for high-velocity recirculation applications and laminar-flow cleanroom designs.
Closed-cell neoprene downstream gasket
Each V2400-P ships with a 1/4" x 3/4" closed-cell neoprene gasket on the downstream side. Other gasket configurations (upstream, both sides, knife-edge fluid seal) are available on request — request a quote with your housing specifications.
ISO 9001, validated for critical environments
The V2400-P is manufactured by an ISO 9001 registered facility and is rated for continuous operation up to 122 degrees F. Each filter is certified to provide the specified minimum overall efficiency on 0.3 micrometer particles, suitable for use as a final filter in cleanroom, biocontainment, isolation room, and laminar-flow applications.
Pricing — Call for quote
The V2400-P line is priced through quote-confirmed ordering rather than catalog list pricing. Request a quote with your size requirements, quantity, frame and gasket specifications, and any cleanroom validation documentation needs, and our commercial team will return a quote within one business day.

V2400 vs V2400-P: which frame is right for your application?
If you need UL 900 classification, prefer aluminum's structural strength, or specifications call for metal-frame HEPA, the standard BioMAX V2400 (aluminum) is the answer. Choose the V2400-P when corrosion resistance, weight reduction, or chemical compatibility favor a plastic frame.
