AAF Flanders VariCel II Bag Filters
VariCel II is AAF Flanders' high-capacity extended-surface bag filter — a different beast from the rigid VariCel box filter. Where the rigid VariCel uses a supported pleat pack in a hard frame, VariCel II uses self-supporting fabric pockets that inflate under airflow to maximize media area in a compact footprint. The result is a high-MERV commercial bag filter with very high dust-holding capacity and very low pressure drop.

VariCel II vs. VariCel (Box) — Which to Choose
Both are high-MERV commercial AAF filters, but they fit different housing types. VariCel II bag filters are for side-access housing — the bag inflates into the airflow with the filter face flush to the rack. VariCel rigid box filters are for front-load housing with full-depth (6″ or 12″) supported cells. Send us your existing filter dimensions and we'll match the right one.
