This 18″ × 24″ × 4″ AAF Flanders VariCel 2+ filter (part number 3102036-804) delivers MERV 14 filtration in a rigid extended-surface construction for commercial and industrial HVAC.

The VariCel 2+ uses AAF's Impress® Technology for low initial resistance, superior mechanical strength, and energy-efficient operation in VAV and turbulent-airflow systems.

What MERV 14 captures

Sub-micron particles including most smoke and bacteria-sized particles. Standard residential HVAC equipment is rarely rated for MERV 14 static pressure.

Will a higher MERV rating restrict airflow?

Filters with higher MERV ratings are denser and can reduce airflow in systems not designed for them. MERV 8–10 is a safe choice for most homes.
