AAF Flanders produces filtration for nearly every HVAC and mechanical application in the U.S. market. The right product line depends less on brand preference and more on what you're trying to protect, the pressure drop your system can tolerate, and the MERV rating your code or internal spec requires.

Residential furnaces & light-commercial RTUs
1″ and 2″ pleated filters from the NaturalAire and PREpleat lines. MERV 8 for baseline protection, MERV 10 for allergy-sensitive households, MERV 13 where aerosol capture matters.
Commercial AHUs (air handling units)
4″ PREpleat LPD in Standard or High Capacity as a pre-filter, VariCel box filters as the final stage, or DriPak bag filters for extended-surface applications where depth allows longer service intervals.

MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) measures how well a filter captures particles at specific size ranges. Higher MERV captures smaller particles but increases pressure drop. AAF Flanders builds across the full range.

Sizing

Getting the size right the first time

AAF Flanders nominal sizes run in standard increments — 12×12, 14×20, 16×25, 20×20, 20×25, 24×24, and so on — in 1″, 2″, and 4″ depths. The size printed on your existing filter frame is the nominal size; the actual cut size is typically 1/2″ smaller on each dimension.

If your rack isn't a standard size, you have two options:
