Construction
This disposable heating and air conditioning filter has a one-piece chipboard frame. This feature eliminates the problems associated with a fourpiece frame, such as broken corners and exposed metal edges. The Pinch Frame filter utilizes a heat seal to bond the frame to the filter media and metal support grid. This process permits the use of a single metal grid on the air exit side only, thus maximizing filter face area and extending service life. The media is made of 100% nonwoven polyester synthetic fibers chemically bonded with a fire retardant resin. Because of the synthetic nature of the fiber, the media is extremely resistant to moisture and other environmental extremes.
